I had kind of a crappeh weekend. It started out fun, as I joined Rachel and Mike at the Indiana Jones marathon. It was awesome to see the films on the big screen, although we were all puzzled as we'd thought the whole point of this was to show Raiders in IMAX and we were...not in the IMAX theater. Today I took a day off.  That's been rare of late.  Weekends the last few months I've often done one day with the hiking club and one day at the zoo.  We were supposed to go kayaking yesterday, but it ended up being rainy and about 50 degrees, so I didn't think that'd be too great for kayaking.  We'll go next weekend.  So I went to the zoo instead ( Read more... )

I'm just going to stop apologizing for it being a long time between updates, okay?  My fandom online presence is elsewhere these days and updating is sometimes a hassle but I'll try to do it periodically and we'll all just make our peace with that.

So last Sunday I attended a Learn to Curl clinic at the Columbus Curling Club, an organization that seems full of awesome people.  It was a full class, about 25 people.  We split up into six groups and we each got an instructor who first taught us how to throw the stones and the right form, them how to sweep, then the basics of what you're actually ( Read more... )
